Six months into Russia’s illegal invasion, Denmark continues to support Ukraine

Together with our partners and allies in the EU and NATO, Denmark strongly condemns Russia’s brutal, unjustifiable and unprovoked war against Ukraine. Russia’s military aggression constitutes a gross violation of international law with far-reaching consequences for Ukraine, its people as well as for Europe and the entire world.

Denmark is fully behind Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity, as protected by the UN Charter. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Denmark has provided Ukraine with support amounting to over 506 million EUR. Besides providing military support, Denmark has shown solidarity with Ukraine through multifaceted and long-term support in different areas, including humanitarian and acute assistance, financial support, health donations, mine clearance assistance, protection of women and children, and reconstruction.

Denmark will continue to defend the UN Charter, strengthen the multilateral system and mitigate the derivative consequences of the war in Ukraine in cooperation and solidarity.
