Denmark announced as Host Country for Marintec China 2023, Showcasing Denmark's Leadership in Green Maritime Technologies
As a maritime nation, Denmark has taken responsibility for driving global development in shipping towards climate-neutrality. Global shipping accounts for around 2-3% of global GHG emissions and our actions to curb emissions have a profound impact on the shipping and shipbuilding industries worldwide. This requires new maritime technologies and fuel types to steer shipping towards a sustainable and green future.
Minister For Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Morten Bødskov says:
“Denmark is a proud maritime nation and our companies are at the forefront of new and green technologies. Danish maritime companies have a strong presence in Asia where they play a role in the necessary green transition of the sector. We look forward to showcase our technologies and solutions and further international cooperation towards a climate-neutral shipping industry.”
The Danish maritime industries have consistently supported Marintec China by participating in seminars, workshops and conferences organised as part of the trade fair and by organising one of the largest national pavilions to promote collaboration and driving innovation in the global maritime community.
For over 40 years, Marintec China has been the bridge between China and the international maritime community, providing an expansive, multi-channel opportunity for the maritime community to meet and do business. Marintec China not only puts spotlight on new innovative green environmental technologies and innovation products including zero emission engines, fuel cells and clean fuel technologies. It also serves as a meeting place for established industry leaders and investors, regulators and academics, inventors and innovators, decision makers and ambitious start-ups. Everyone who is part of the future of the carbon neutral maritime industry.
