With our shared goal of bringing Nordic solutions to China, Innovation Centre Denmark has partnered with Nordic Edge to co-organise the first Nordic Edge China conference in Beijing, April 9-10. The conference focuses on Smart City knowledge sharing and bringing people together from China and the Nordic countries to learn from each other and to partner on developing more sustainable cities.

Nordic Edge is a non-profit corporation and a platform for cooperation between cities, municipalities and private companies. The aim of Nordic Edge is to promote smart city solutions and knowledge exchange for people who share the same quest of making more liveable communities.

Lasting two days, the conference is expected to have more than 200 participants, and it will include 10 Nordic cities and speakers from both China and the Nordic region. The Executive Director of Innovation Centre Denmark, Søren Boutrup, will be hosting a workshop on Nordic Sustainable Cities, a flagship project by Nordic Innovation, who is co-funding Nordic Edge China.

Additionally, the conference will be centred around mobility, health care and urban innovation. Following the conference, participants are invited to join visits to Wuxi, Ningbo and Shanghai, cities that are all progressive cities that have started many sustainable initiatives.
