23.11.2017  03:58

Last weekend, the new SDC building was officially inaugurated. During the opening, SDC and Innovation Centre Denmark signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will enhance collaboration to develop and capture mutually beneficial objectives within education and science in the future.

To celebrate the collaboration, Innovation Centre Denmark and SDC co-organized a seminar on innovation in China. Among the speakers were experts from Techcode and Kairos Future as well as academics from SDC. Moreover, Innovation Centre Denmark held a reception to both celebrate its new partnership with SDC as well as to celebrate its own 10-year anniversary.

As part of Innovation Centre Denmark’s 10-year anniversary, ICDK video-interviewed experts, professors and students during the SDC opening. The interviews give great insights into the key forces of innovation in China as well as the good opportunities the Chinese market is offering Danish companies.

About SDC:

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik officially inaugurated the SDC building the 25th of September. The Danish Minister of Higher Education and Science, Søren Pind, the president of Chinese Academy of Sciences as well as the president of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences also delivered speeches at the inauguration ceremony, where they all emphasized the positive trajectory of Sino-Danish exchange and collaboration within education and science that the SDC building will make possible.

SDC is a partnership between all eight Danish universities, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). Moreover, SDC’s activities include Danish-Chinese research collaboration within five selected focus areas, seven affiliated Master’s programmes with an annual intake of approximately 150 master’s students and training of a large number of PhD students. Its overall objective is to promote and strengthen collaboration between Danish and Chinese learning environments and increase mobility of students and researchers between Denmark and China.
