Tradeshift opens new office in Shanghai

On 15 May 2018, Tradeshift opened its new Shanghai office, which is located in the same building as the Royal Danish Consulate General. ICDK Shanghai has worked with Tradeshift for some years and is glad to welcome them to ‘our’ building.

The opening ceremony took place at the Royal Danish Consulate General and was joined by friends of Tradeshift, employees and partners. Tradeshift’s management was represented by Founder & CEO, Christian Lanng, SVP of APAC & Co-founder, Mikkel Hippe Brun and the new SVP for Greater China, Galina Ho.

Tradeshift’s development in China
In his opening speech, ICDK Shanghai’s Executive Director, Morten Brandtoft commented on Tradeshift’s impressive development in the competitive Chinese market, which is already advanced within widespread application fintech solutions and e-commerce. A topic, which was also addressed by Hans Henrik Pontoppidan, General secretary of Danish Chinese Business Forum (DCBF), who further pointed to the fact that: “Success in China is not something you just get – it is something you carefully and strategically plan for, combined with hard work and rapid implementation”.
