Last week, four Danish robotics companies from Odense came to China to meet Chinese robotics companies and gain more insight into the Robotics market in China.

During the 6-day tour, the delegation visited four major tech hubs in China, namely Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and the Kunshan area. Here, they did not only visit various, international robotics shows and fairs, they also had the opportunity to meet with influential Chinese robotics companies and create a large, new network of potential business partners.

Two roadshows were the highlights of the tour
Two major roadshows in Shenzhen and Shanghai were the highlights of the tour. The ‘Nordic Robotics Shanghai Roadshow’ had more than 500 investors participating, where companies had the chance to do 1-on-1 matchmaking.

The delegation also visited the ‘China International Industrial Fair 2018’, which had over 2,500 exhibitors and 160,000 trade visitors. Here, in addition to meetings with Chinese companies, the Danish delegation also met Danish robotics companies already established in China to gain insights about their experiences on the Chinese market.

Danish robotics companies are doing well in China
Odense Robotics and RoboCluster also participated in the in the delegation.
Niels Haug-Larsen from Odense Robotics was happy to see that Danish robotics companies are doing well in China:

“We have seen how the Danish companies are represented out here, which has given us a good overview of how the competition is in the field. We are very interested in how the young robotics companies are doing here again this year, and we are happy to see that the other Danish robotics companies have done so well. It is nice to see that we are strengthening the cluster of the Danish robotics companies, and to see how well established we are out here.”
