  • Innovation Centre Denmark, Shanghai welcomes their new executive director

    At ICDK Shanghai, the employees had the pleasure to welcome Søren Boutrup, the new executive director, on August 1st. At the Innovation Centre in Shanghai, the main focus sectors will be Fintech, Edtech, ICT, Cleantech and Life Science, and as the new director Søren will be dedicated to integrate the entrepreneurial spirit of the city in all of ICDK’s work.

  • INVITATION: China-Denmark Blockchain Experts' Dialogue

    On behalf of the European Blockchain Centre at IT University of Copenhagen and the Tech Ambassador of Denmark, the Innovation Centre Denmark in Shanghai is pleased to invite Danish companies, start-ups and universities to participate in the first “China-Denmark Blockchain Experts’ Dialogue” which is organised in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou, 13-16 November 2018.

  • China strengthens its Ministry of Science and Technology

    For some years, rumours have existed that China’s Ministry of Science and Technology would be closed down or merged with other ministries. It therefore came as a surprise when China’s National People's Congress in March 2018 approved restructuring plans, which will strengthen the ministry.

  • Tradeshift opens new office in Shanghai

    On 15 May 2018, Tradeshift opened its new Shanghai office, which is located in the same building as the Royal Danish Consulate General. ICDK Shanghai has worked with Tradeshift for some years and is glad to welcome them to ‘our’ building.

  • Tutee is looking for a CEO

    The Danish Edtech start-up, Tutee, is looking for a competent person to take up the position of CEO at the company branch in Shanghai.

  • Rubin Quach and ICDK Shanghai co-hosts EUD International Business College

    On 18 May 2018, the Danish entrepreneur Rubin Quach and ICDK Shanghai co-hosted a group of students from EUD International Business College. The aim was to de-mystify China as a start-up destination for Danish entrepreneurs.  

  • ICDK Shanghai visits Shanghai University

    On 17 May 2018, ICDK visited Shanghai University and met with Professor Zhang Xiaotian, Director of the International Office, who showed great interest in cooperating with Danish universities. 

  • Strong Nordic Effort at the IE Expo in Shanghai

    On 4 May 2018, The Trade Council of Denmark organised a Nordic Pavilion and a business seminar on Nordic Green Technology at the IE Expo in Shanghai – Asia’s leading trade fair for environmental technology solutions within water, waste, air and soil.

  • ICDK Shanghai meets with Jiaxing Vocational Technical College

    The Chinese government is encouraging China's vocational colleges to expand their network with international partners. On 19 April 2018, ICDK Shanghai therefore visited Jiaxing Vocational Technical College to learn more about the reform process put forward by the Chinese government and to explore collaboration possibilities.  

  • China's 2025-plan presents great opportunities for Denmark

    The Chinese Government is investing heavily in ten specific sectors to realise its 2025-plan. These investments present great opportunities for Danish institutions and companies, as Denmark is leading within several of the identified sectors.
