Position: Commercial Officer – Green Team

The commercial department at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Shanghai is seeking to recruit an energetic and experienced Commercial Officer for a full-time position within the Green Sector.
Your working place will be at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Shanghai, and you will be a fully integrated member in the Green team and will be reporting to the Green team leader in Beijing. Your colleagues are sector specialists Commercial Officers placed in Innovation Centre, Shanghai, Chongqing, Beijing and Guangzhou, whom you will be working closely with.
We offer a challenging work environment where you need to combine a high degree of independent work tasks with cross country team-work within two sectors.
You will provide high-level consultancy services and manage business development projects for Danish companies in China. You will also focus on sustaining strong commercial as well as governmental relations between Denmark and China.
The main areas being energy efficient water supply/waste water treatment, green maritime, green aviation, district cooling and offshore wind energy.
Your job will be commercial case solving, consulting and promoting Danish companies and organizations to strengthen their commercial development in China. Trade are aiming for value-creating large, complex and long-term assignments with the companies. The work will in many cases involve economic diplomacy activities leveraging on the Trade Council´s position within the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We are looking for an open minded, positive and extrovert team player who is flexible and enthusiastic, with an eye for quality and efficiency in your daily work, and has the capability to initiate new opportunities and deliver tangible results. The following qualifications would be preferable:
• Excellent command of English and Mandarin - both oral and written.
• An established network within the Green sector
• Business and/or sector specific degree (minimum BA level)
• Knowledge and understanding of setting up more complex processes towards valuable business propositions
• Experience in executing consultancy services as well as strong commercial sense
• Experience with organizing customer events and seminars
• Experience in working with foreign enterprises
• International experience, possibly from studies or working abroad

The Danish Trade Council in China is the commercial branch of The Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and consists of 5 specialized sector teams across the following locations; Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou Shanghai, and Taipei. The Trade Council provides access to China for Danish companies by a range of services such as partner search (distribution, sales and sourcing), market analysis, planning and execution of market events, export promotions, strategic counselling for market entry strategies, basic legal counselling, public affairs and CSR consulting.
The Trade Council is the governmental export and investment promotion organisation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The organisation comprises all governmental activities designed to promote Danish export and foreign investment in Denmark under one roof.
The Trade Council has approximately 250 employees abroad located at 90 embassies, consulates general and trade commissions in 64 countries.
